The Bookit! Program!

(The National Reading Incentive Program)

Again this year the academy will participate in the National Reading Incentive or "Bookit!" Program. The program begins in October, runs through March and is designed to motivate students in grades K - 6 by rewarding them with free pizza from Pizza Hut. In this program, the parents set the monthly reading goals for each child according to his or her own reading ability. Non-readers can meet their goals by being read to by others. As soon as the monthly goal is reached, the parent or the child can call the CBA office and we will send the student a free PIZZA AWARD CERTIFICATE. The student can redeem this certificate for a free personal pan pizza at any local Pizza Hut restaurant during business hours. Sound interesting? You can register for the Bookit Program now at no cost by calling the CBA office. Details will be sent to you by the start of the program on October 1.

CBA School Portrait & Yearbook Pictures

We are delighted to announce that school pictures will be taken by Mighty Oak Photography this school year. CBA student pictures (grades K - 11) will be taken at several sites (see the enclosed flier for details). All enrolled students are welcome to come and have individual school pictures taken. There is no cost, pressure or obligation to purchase. Proofs are provided and families will have an opportunity to purchase sets of pictures if they desire. The individual pictures for students in grades 7th - 11th will also be included in this year’s Jr./Sr. High Yearbook.

Seniors should have already received information on portraits. Senior portraits will also be used for the senior section of the yearbook. If you have any questions please call the CBA office.
